The Recyclery has been in business for ten years now.
I have recently closed my downtown location and set up shop on Marine drive.
I no longer hold hours, I am now working by appointment only.
If you are looking for a great deal on a used bike or used parts The Recyclery should be your first place to check.
I also do repairs and "Tune ups"
A note about "Tune ups"
Personally, I believe "Tune ups" are a huge scam and pretty much every bicycle shop is more than happy to take you on that ride. Most shops will charge you at least $40 for their "Tune Up" While that really means that they most often adjust only a few things and charge you as if they have done so much more. Quite often all you might need is a little lube and some air in your tires. If your newer bikes is shifting off and you take it in for a "Tune Up" all the shop will do is spin a little nob on your bike to tighten the cable. I don't charge for such thing as I feel it is taking advantage of people.
Bicycle shops call "Tune Ups" their "Bread and Butter" as they cost very little or nothing to do and at $40-$80 is a really good profit margin.
So, if you are looking for someone in this industry to be honest with you and work within your means that doesn't try to sell you stuff just to make more money; but rather to get you what you are looking for and to save you money, please feel free to give me a call and set up an appointment.
